The Human Fossil Record. Volume 2 Craniodental Morphology of Genus Homo (Africa and Asia)

(Ben Green) #1

URAHA (CHIWONDO) 307

Incisors appear large relative to cheek teeth. Judging
by root, Cs were apparently small. P1 protoconid miss-
ing; preserved metaconids large and mesially placed, and
talonid basins well developed. As seen on the R, P2
smaller than P1 bil and m/d. Very mesially placed P2
metaconid and protoconid subequal in size; lie opposite
each other. As seen on the R, M1 smaller than M2 m/d
and especially b/l. Ms worn flat, obscuring most mor-
phology. M2 hypocondid was buccally placed, with
shallow notch between it and hypoconid. Ml and 2
protoconid and metaconid were apparently very mesially
positioned. M1 roots splayed closed to neck.
