Pudendal nerve (S2–S4).

Upper 1/3: External iliac
Middle 1/3: Common/internal iliac
Lower 1/3: Common iliac, superficial inguinal, and perirectal.

❍ What is the average length of the endocervical canal?
2.5–3 cm.

❍ What are the longitudinal folds in the mucous membrane of the endocervical canal called?
Plicae palmatae.

❍ What is the arterial supply to the cervix?
Cervical artery arises from the uterine artery. The cervical arteries approach the cervix at 3 and 9 o’clock.

❍ Name all the surgical cleavage spaces (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) that are filled with fatty or areolar
connective tissue.
