deep-seaanimalsortheirhabitats.It
wasuptoa scientificillustratornamed
ElseBostelmanntorevealinherartthe
strange,glow-in-the-darkinhabitants
ofthismysteriousrealm.Herhaunting
imagesofweirdcreatures,suchas thesilver
hatchetfishwithitstelescopiceyesand
theterrifyingviperfishwithfangliketeeth
activelyengulfingprey,gavescientists,and
anamazedgeneralpublic,a firstglimpse
intothishiddenworldthatmanyfound
almostunbelievable.
