SOME COMPLEMENTARIANS
HELP EVANGELICAL FEMINISTS
BY BEING HARSH, MEAN,
OR ABUSIVE
At this point many readers may be deeply troubled by what they see
going on in the evangelical feminist movement. And that deep concern
may lead some to respond to evangelical feminists with harshness or
meanness of spirit, or even in some situations there may be some kind
of abuse.
This is never right.
Paul tells Timothy,
And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to every-
one, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents
with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to
a knowledge of the truth... (2 Tim. 2:24-25).
No matter how seriously we differ with other brothers and sisters
in Christ, we must continue to treat them with kindness and love. We
must continue to report their positions truthfully, without distortion or
misrepresentation.
