pattern in only a few days
AN ADORABLE PAIR
I get great enjoyment using circular needles
to knit hats. I find them incredibly fun to use.
The one on the left is a bubble hat and I had
to find a pattern online and use videos to
make it. It’s a great success, I must say! The
right one is stocking stitch with variegated
yarn. Both hats used yarn that was
considerably cheap, and each needed one
ball to complete, which makes them such
easy and economical projects to knit.
I am very pleased with the finished product!
Thanks very much, Simply Knitting.

These adorable hats would make excellent
gifts or charity knits, Yvonne!
PRACTICAL KNIT
Finally, after knitting lots of baby clothes to
give away as gifts, I have knitted something
for myself! I started this beautiful pattern
on a Wednesday and managed to finish it by
the end of the weekend. It fits me really well.
The pattern is the Black Cherry cardigan by
Pat Menchini that was in issue 179 of Simply
Knitting. I used James Brett Stonewash DK
shade SW9, which has some lovely green
and fawn tones in it. I used only four 100g
balls to complete the cardigan.
Bev Murton, via email
What a fabulous cardigan, Bev, and you
certainly finished it in record time! The
colour of the yarn you chose for the
project is fab, too. Well done!
