Nam, Janson, Stotts, Chesla, & Kroon (2012) conducted a systematic review of

randomized controlled trials to examine the effect of culturally tailored diabetes

education in ethnic minorities with Type 2 diabetes. They applied statistics to the

pooled results of 12 RCTs that had sufficient data to include in a meta-analysis.

The independent variable was diabetes educational interventions performed in

ethnic minority groups with Type 2 diabetes, and the dependent variable was gly-

cemic control measured by HbA1c levels.
