Consider this the new smoky.
“A hazy eye is as captivating
as a classic black, smudgy eye but
with a more casual, wearable vibe,”
says Christopher Ardoff, the
makeup artist behind this look.
To re-create it: Sweep a rose-gold
eye shadow across the lid, then
add a brighter plum or pink into
the crease. (Ardoff used the pinks
in Pat McGrath Labs Mothership
III: Subversive Eye Palette, $125,
patmcgrath.com.) Next, draw
black or brown eyeliner on both
upper and lower lash lines, and
smudge. Then tap an eye gloss on
top of the lid “for a subtle sheen
and a cool blurred effect,” Ardoff
says. Try Kevyn Aucoin Glass
Glow Face in Crystal Clear ($32,
sephora.com). —Jenn Barthole
