parties. For winter, I go for a berry shade and
pair either a smoky eye with a red lip or go
heavy eye and a nude lip.”
What are your beauty bag must-haves?
“I love tinted moisturiser. Lancôme’s Skin
Feels Good is really natural and lightweight
and you can literally put it on without looking
in the mirror.
“Also, the highlighter from my Exclusively
Yours set, which is a liquid illuminator.
Sometimes I like to mix this in with my tinted
moisturiser, otherwise I dab it on to my cheeks
or wherever I feel like I need an extra glow.
“I love Lancôme’s Hypnôse Drama mascara.
I’ve used it since I was 14. People sometimes
ask if I have lashes on – it does make them look
really thick. My essential everyday lippy is a lip
gloss. My pinky-nude one is hydrating and goes
on super quick.
“As my hair gets heat styled a lot, I worry
about its condition. The Kérastase Thermique
heat protector is a saviour, as is the in-salon
Fusio-Dose treatment. It’s lighter than a mask –
my hair’s quite fine so a hair mask can be too
heavy sometimes. It’s prescriptive, too, so they
make a combination for you depending on
what your needs are. I try to have one or two a
month. Everyone comments how shiny my hair
looks after I’ve had one.”
What is your top tip for perfect liquid eyeliner?
“Have lots of cotton buds and eye make-up
remover at the ready and be patient. I
always end up being a bit late when I do
winged eyeliner.
“Sometimes I get it wrong at the start, so I’ll
shove some mascara on or add more
eyeshadow and make it more of a smoky eye.”
What product do you wish you’d invented?
“The Tangle Teezer because there’s one sold
every 20 seconds. You’d be living it large if
you’d invented that.”
What’s your skincare regime?
“I had some skin troubles that started last
autumn. Luckily they’ve cleared up, but it made
me think about what I’m putting on my skin
and be extra diligent. Now I look in the mirror
and read my skin: am I congested? Dehydrated?
“I use my Clarisonic Mia Smart exfoliator
once a week, but if I’ve been wearing a lot of
make-up every day for shoots, I might use it
twice. It really sucks all of the dirt out.
“I like to do masks at home as well, either
sheet masks or, if I’m feeling a bit puffy, an
under-eye mask. The Lancôme Génifique
pearl ones make a huge difference – Hugo
keeps nabbing them out of the fridge. We
don’t have a planned pamper night together,
but we do a mask once or twice a week.
