LAMINGTON NATIONAL PARK, QLD MOUNT NINDERRY (SUNSHINE COAST), QLD MISSION BEACH, QLD

BROOME, WA KARIJINI, WA

retreat at Sanctuary Retreat
(www.sanctuaryogaretreats.com.au),
which offers unique accommodation
enveloped in lush rainforest and
absolutely incredible views, or simply
enjoy your own practice on one of the
secluded, serene beaches. It’s one of
Australia’s top spots for nature lovers
and a perfect place for some seriously
Insta-worthy yoga (or a digital
detox!).

Broome, WA

Broome is an essential stop on any
WA road-trip, and while it definitely
boasts beautiful beaches and tropical
vibes, the yoga scene is worlds away
from the spiritual mecas and remains
old-school and down to earth. A
wander around town and a chat with
the locals will leave you with a
handful of yoga options, but if you’re
up for really immersing yourself

then Blue Body Spiritual Centre
(www.bluebody.com.au) is where it’s at.
You can wander through the grounds to
enjoy the meditative vibes and some
peace and quiet, go along to one of the
many daily, traditional yoga classes
(Hatha, Sivananda, Iyengar and
Elemental) or book in to one of their
meditation or energy healing
workshops.

Karijini, WA

Karijini National Park is the perfect
place to truly soak up the Australian
landscape and is famous for being one
of the largest and most spectacular
parks in the country, rich in waterfalls,
sparkling rock pools, gorges and
magnificent rocks. It’s the last place
you’d expect to find yoga, but the locally
owned Karijini Eco Retreat (www.
karijiniecoretreat.com.au) with cosy,
environmentally friendly, glamp-style
accommodation, offers a yoga space for
self practice or group classes (teachers
can be organised as requested) to stand
travellers in good stead for their many
adventures throughout the park. When
you’re not saluting the stunning outback
sun, you can explore the majestic red
landscape and it’s cooling water holes,
take a trail walk or enjoy a bush tucker
feast at the on-site restaurant.
