Pear & double
chocolate crumble

25g reduced-fat table spread
3 ripe Packham pears, cored,
cut into thin wedges
1 tablespoon caster sugar
50g dark chocolate,
finely chopped
1 cup reduced-fat vanilla
custard, to serve

Chocolate crumble
¼ cup plain flour
1 tablespoon self-raising flour
1 tablespoon caster sugar
1 tablespoon LSA mix
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
30g reduced-fat
table spread

1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Melt the table spread in a
medium non-stick frying pan
over medium-high heat. Add
the pears and sugar, toss to coat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for
5–7 minutes, or until the pears
are tender and the juices start
releasing from pears.
2 Transfer pears to six 1–cup
ramekins or a large baking dish.
Scatter pears with dark chocolate.
3 Make the chocolate crumble:
Combine flours, sugar, LSA and
cocoa powder. Rub in the spread
and 1 tablespoon of water until
crumbs form. Scatter the crumbs
over the pears and chocolate.
4 Bake the crumble for about
25–30 minutes, or until golden
and warmed through. Serve
drizzledwithvanillacustard.
