ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
ERIC MEYERS is the Bernice and
Morton Lerner Professor Emeritus
of Jewish Studies at Duke Univer-
sity, specializing in Biblical studies
and archaeology. He has directed
or co-directed digs for decades
and has authored hundreds of
articles, reviews and books. He served as President of the
American Schools of Oriental Research for three terms and
has appeared in numerous documentaries dealing with
the Bible and early Judaism and Christianity.

CAROL MEYERS is the Mary Grace
Wilson Professor Emerita of Religion
at Duke University, specializing in
Biblical studies, archaeology, and
gender in the Biblical world. She
has been a staff member or co-
director of numerous archaeological
fi eld projects and has written hundreds of articles, reviews
and books. Carol is a frequent consultant for media produc-
tions, and she recently served as President of the Society
of Biblical Literature.
