Jackson Hole is used to big time
events—summer and winter.
So when the AMSOIL Championship
Snocross rolled into town in early Decem-
ber 2017, it joined a long list of success-
ful events that have taken place over the
years. One of the—if not the—biggest
snowmobile events that takes place any-
where in the North American snowbelt
is the World Championship Snowmobile
Hillclimb, held annually in Jackson, WY,
at Snow King Resort.
The Jackson Hole Snocross National
can now be added to that prestigious list
of successful snow events, drawing sno-
cross racing’s biggest names and thou-
sands of spectators to the base of Exhi-
bition Run at Snow King Resort.
Little did spectators know that the
2017 Jackson snocross would be the fi-
nal season of racing for the king of sno-
cross racing, Tucker Hibbert. And did he
put on a show for the fans who braved
bitterly cold temperatures to watch rac-
ing action during the day and under the
lights at night.
It had been years since the AMSOIL
Championship Snocross came as far
west as the circuit did for the Jackson
Hole Snocross National, sponsored by
the Jackson Hole Snow Devils.
