YVONNE CATAMARAN AUSTRALIAN TITLES
The Yvonne Catamaran Australian
Titles was held in the extremely
variable conditions of Victor Harbor.
The early races were dominated by
the Western Australian boats led by
Bullet Proof (Glen Randall and Jason
White). While Natural Born Killer by
South Australia’s Marcus and Sophie
Towell won the next four heats some
just by a margin of seconds to win
the title. Although the last race was
abandoned due to dangerous winds
the results were still in doubt.

FINN CLASS
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Racing was tight and tactical with 23
boats contesting the Australian Finn
Class Championships at Black Rock
Yacht Club on Melbourne's Port Phillip
Bay. The fleet experienced a variety of
conditions with Joe McMillan taking the
title on the last day from Ian McKillop in
second, with Matt Visser third.
PAPER TIGER CATAMARAN NATIONAL TITLE
The 2015 Paper Tiger Catamaran National Titles were hosted by the
Lauderdale Yacht Club, just SE of Hobart, with Frederick Henry Bay
serving up ideal and varied conditions,
for the 39 competitors.
The 12 race series saw six different
winners, but eventually became
a final race battle between Bryan
Anderson (Fly’n Bry’n) and Bruce
Rose (The Apprentice), with Bryan
holding out Bruce on a tense final
windward leg, to clinch an incredible
eighth national title. Consistent
Victorian Mark Wiggins (Firestorm)
rounded out the podium.
STINGRAY AUSTRALIAN TITLES
The variable conditions of Victor Harbor
South Australia provided four different
heat winners in close exciting racing in
the Australian Titles. Three races were
postponed two due to strong winds
and one for no wind with the final race
abandoned due to dangerous conditions
provided by a strong South Westerly
front racing through the fleets. The
closeness of the racing ensures that the
next title is certain to be hotly contested.
