The new Addiction range of rods was one of those
that stood out straight away when the new catalogue
arrived. The way they look to start with, and then the
specs... Even the 8 footer weighs only 100g! So this is
an incredibly lightweight range of rods. Obviously the
minimalist design helps. I thought they’d be selling for
about £150ish, just looking at them but I couldn’t
believe it when I heard they’d be knocking out at
between £80 and £90!
Rated to 11g the Addiction
Micro Bait is an absolutely
perfect light-weight perch rod,
also completely suitable LRF
wise. We matched it up with
2000 size Addiction and Custom reels
and it was just such a precise little tool,
you immediately imagine yourself bouncing a
little SP back along the bottom. Like many, the
rating is perhaps a bit over-gunned but it is still a
slightly more powerful rod than any 7g rated LRF rod.
It’s a proper little peach! They definitely have the
stiffness in the tip for fishing anything from lightweight
jigheads through to small crankbaits up to around 5g.QWeight – 87g
