This villa style property is situated in the Limousin area of France and is fully
equipped to provide luxury accommodation for you to enjoy on your holiday.

You will have your own lake of over an acre with carp (mirror, common and grass) to nearly
50lb – we are eagerly awaiting our first fifty! There are catfish to over 80lb, plus roach

The property lies in its own grounds of over five acres, surrounded by trees and fields.
We have English TV, large games room, outdoor pool, BBQ and swings for the kids.
There is plenty of room for children to run and play, so you can spend as much time

I’ve got to say how nice it has been
to have anglers back on the bank.
It’s been a long winter and I am
certainly looking forward to the
anglers catching some cracking
fi sh, making all the hard work
worthwhile. The buzz around the
Monument One is great; even I’ve
booked a few sessions! Young Tom
Forrester, who has been with us for
the past couple of years on work
experience, is now working the
weekends as bailiff. He has taken
over from the legend Dave
Treasure, so a special thanks to
him for all his hard work over the
past 10 years.
Our fi rst weekend since
reopening produced three big girls
and a few stockies. Scott
Warburton fi shed peg seven and
offered Nutella hookbaits amongst
a light scattering of freebies which
he topped up every few hours. He
had a mad feeding spell from
3-6am, when he landed three big
’uns to 31lb. Unfortunately, his
mate didn’t wake up, so he’s only
got pictures of them on the mat.

Seventeen-year-old Thomas Finch-Jones of Birmingham
took three fi sh, including this 24lb mirror (above), during a
four-day visit to the Carp Society’s Horseshoe Lake in
Gloucestershire. Thomas, whose other fi sh weighed 25½lb
and 23½lb, fi shed to a gravel bar at 70 yards, where he
presented Xcel Baits VNF hookbaits on blow-back rigs
amongst a bed of 12mm, 14mm and 16mm freebies. End
tackle comprised 20lb Korda N-Trap Soft links, size 6
Choddy B hooks and 4oz Fox leads. Chub Outkast 50 Plus
rods, Windcast Z reels and 18lb ESP Syncro XT were used
amongst his set-up.

We’re halfway through
the second session as
I write, and Charles
Sword has had a
28-pounder on the
Freshwater Shrimp
boilies, again fi shing
over a light baited area.
With this cold easterly
wind, anglers are
slightly reserved about
putting too much bait
out at the moment,
instead going for the one-bite
tactic.
Ian Russell and Steve Hall also
did some fi lming for Avid, while on
the Monument Two, Iain Macmillan
did some fi lming for Sky Sports and
Mat Woods and Jason Umney did
a session, landing 10 to 42lb. I’ll
save the 42-pounder for Mat, but
one of my highlights was a fi sh now
named Pebbles for obvious reason.
Tom Forrester had a stunning
session on Weston Park the other
day. Turning up just before dark
and leaving at eight o’clock in the
morning, he managed six to 25lb
over 1½kg of boilies. Interestingly,
these fi sh came the day we had
sprayed the weeds with a weed
killer. It just goes to show you that
the fi sh are not affected by it. We
have a slot for open access for six
anglers on Weston Park in April, so
get in touch if you want to book on.
We’ve not been hearing too
many reports from Acton recently,
but we did get an email from our
bailiff Rob Leverton the other day

with a fi sh from the Lower Lake
weighing a few ounces under 20lb.
I had to include it as it’s a right
stunner! These stockies were put in
a few years ago to preserve the
future of the lakes, and judging by
this fi sh, the future’s looking bright.
