I had just returned from
Antarctica when I received my
February issue of Southern Boating.
The article “Terra Incognita” by Jad
Davenport and “The Drake Passage”
by Daniel Wagner were truly right
on. I got the “Drake Shake” on the
way down and the “Drake Lake” on
the way back. What a wonderful
adventure!

My article does not once mention

the term “carbon tax,” nor does it

advocate for the implementation of

such a measure. As for breitbart.com,

its journalistic principles are specious,

to put it mildly. For example, the article

you mention cites the blog Watts

Up With That run by college dropout

Anthony Watts, who receives funding

from the Heartland Institute, which is

funded by fossil-fuel interests (see:

sourcewatch.org/index.php/Anthony_

Watts). Additionally, the research done

by hydrologist Mike Wallace has been

reviewed and subsequently debunked

(see: skepticalscience.com/print.

php?n=2813). Wallace, for whatever

reason, failed to account for the

geographical variability of ocean pH

levels when he released his study of

20 th-century ocean pH levels in January

2014. But, putting that argument
      aside, decreasing pH levels are leading
      to tangible and real coral bleaching
