Showing at Southampton for
the fi rst time, this is the fi rst
of the new Euphoria range
of cruisers from the Turkish
yard Sirena Marine, which also
builds the Azuree marque. Her
sweet-looking hull, designed by
German Frers, is resin-injected
for strength and weight saving.
Her gorgeously sleek deck and
coachroof fi nish off her exterior
beautifully. Her cockpit is well
laid out with lines led back to
the helm on each side, so it
should be easy to sail her with
a small crew.
Below decks she is cleanly
styled with a pleasing
combination of light oak and
white panels, making the
interior bright. To starboard is a nice deep
U-shaped galley with a four-burner cooker
outboard and an aft-facing sink. Opposite
is a long, forward-facing chart table with
plenty of room for chartwork. There are twin
double cabins aft (both with en-suite heads).
In the forepeak is a large double cabin
with a dressing table and a moveable stool
to starboard, while to port is a large master
heads. The saloon is social and U-shaped,

the saloon table drops and converts into a
day bed, while opposite is a short bench
seat. But it’s the attention to detail that
stands out: the overhead (and rather high)
wooden grabrail has LED strip lighting inset,
and the doors are held open with recessed
latches in the sole.

Someone looking for a fast, stylish cruiser.

The aluminium Atlantic
40 is available with
a fi xed keel or, like
the boat on display in
Amsterdam, a lifting
keel. To facilitate drying
out she also has twin
rudders. The cockpit is
sheltered thanks to a
high, solid sprayhood.
Either side of the
cockpit, beneath the overhanging hood, is
a well-protected watchkeeper’s position
with windows overhead (to check sail trim)
and instruments in the bulkhead. This area
also gives shelter for donning waterproofs
without facing the full wrath of the weather.
The cockpit is very well thought out,
surrounded by six Andersen winches with a
raised seating position aft of the wheel.
