HOW TO ACCESS YOUR FREE ONLINE TIDAL
CURRENT TABLES



  1. Access the NOAA site for Tidal Currents at http://tidesandcurrents
    .noaa.gov/currents08/. (Notice the last two numbers for the year 2008;
    for any other year, change the last two numbers.)

  2. Scroll down the page and click on South Carolina.

  3. Click on Charleston Harbor.

  4. Click on Predictions, adjacent to CHARLESTON HARBOR (off Fort
    Sumter).

  5. Scroll down to the September 2008 listings. Place your cursor over
    the word Charleston in the title at the upper left corner. Double
    click to mark the word. Scroll down to the bottom right corner of
    the September page. Hold down the shift key and left click the right
    corner.

  6. Right click and then click on Copy. Go to any word processing program
    such as MS Word. Click on File, Page Setup, Landscape, then click OK.
    Th en, right click and then click on Paste. Print this page, or go to the
    next section to print and format your data.


Note: the NOAA website automatically corrects the times of tidal currents to
Daylight Savings Time (DST), when applicable.


For cockpit navigation we’ll make an easy-to-use graph for Charleston Harbor
on September 20, 2008, based on the information obtained from the online tidal
current tables.
