Xinuo electronics
Macduff-based Echomaster Marine has recently been
announced as a distributor to Japanese based Xinuo
Information Technologies (pronounced ‘zeeno’). Xinuo
offers a wide selection of low cost marine electronics
including chartplotters (with or without AIS), GPS
navigators and marine grade monitors. All chartplotters are
compatible with C-MAP MAX charting and are supplied with
mounting bracket, external GPS antenna and C-MAP local
area chart.
The 12in GPS chartplotter has a built-in AIS class B
transceiver, three input/output ports and is compatible with

Two new paints have
been launched by
Italian company
Cecchi to offer
specialist deck
protection.
The water-based
Deco-Deck WB is a
one-component polyurethane elastic
coating, which can be applied to wood,
glassfi bre, metals and previous coatings
such as TBS and Treadmaster.
The white base colour can be
coloured with other water-based paints.
If necessary, prepare the surface with
10 10 CFS epoxy system or Nautilus
Epoxy Primer. It can be trodden on from
the next day (15-20°C) and is promised
to have excellent anti-slip properties.
It can also be covered with Deco-Deck
GTS or Nautilus Polyurethane Enamel.7in and 10in models
XF607B and 1069B products are 7in and 10.4in colour GPS
chartplotters with integrated AIS receivers (no transmitters on
these units). They cost £915 and £1,145 respectively.Henri Lloyd New

The new CE-approved Energy Buoyancy
Aid from Henri-Lloyd is designed to reduce
bulk and provide maximum freedom of
movement. The elasticated side panel and
nylon webbing belt/buckle offers a more

shoulder panel and hem reduce windage.

Standalone plotter
The XF808 (£739.00) is a
standalone 8in GPS
chartplotter that will also
accept AIS inputs, although
this doesn’t have an
integrated receiver, while
the XF1069 is a larger,
10.4in version of the same
thing, waterproof to IP65
and costs £839.00.Deco-Deck GTS
Deco-Deck GTS (Gloss Transparent
Solvent-based) is a single-component,
solvent-resistant transparent paint with
UVA fi lters. GTS is claimed to be very
elastic to suit exposed areas of wood
and is said to be ideal for handrails,
masts and areas of the deck where
there is a lot of wear. It can be applied
on transparent
varnish in good
condition, after
the surface has
been sanded.
For extra grip,
users can add
Cecchi’s Antiskid
Powder. Deco-
Deck GTS has a
shelf life of about
6-8 months.
