The Loro Piana regatta jacket is made

of all natural fibers: wool, nylon and silk

combined into a special three-layer

technical stretch fabric called the Green

Comfort 3L Storm System®. It uses

a hydrophilic and an osmotic membrane

to be both waterproof and wind resistant

while remaining lightweight and breathable

• and the jacket is cut to function perfectly,
  even when moving around the boat.

There are environmental benefits, too.

Loro Piana’s new Green Storm System®,

launched this July, uses a special

polyurethane made from 50 per cent

renewable plant resources and castor oil in

particular. This treatment’s new membrane

is the “greenest” available on the market.

Six-pocket Bermuda shorts and a polo

shirt finish off the look. The shorts are

made from Antigua crepe linen using a

twisted yarn that tends to spring back when

folding, making it less prone to creasing

than traditional linen.

The polo shirt has long sleeves for sun

protection and is woven from very fine

one-ply cotton yarn, to keep it lightweight

and soft to the touch. Added luxury comes

from the details like the Loro Piana

embroidery on the breast pocket and

refined low-knit borders to the cuffs.
