A PLACE TO CHILL
Otehei Bay in the eastern Bay of Islands is the perfect place to
take some time-out while cruising the beautiful Bay. The café
and bar is open daily with great food options and refreshments.
Enjoy an ice cream or cold beer after fishing or bring the family
for the island barbeque buffet. There are plenty of activities
to entertain the kids and make sure you ask about joining the
Otehei Bay Club to access boaties’ specials.

Visit the Explore Conservation Centre and learn about
Urupukapuka Island history and the extraordinary
environmental restoration work of Project Island Song. This
community initiative achieved mammal pest-free status in
2009, has planted over 30,000 trees to date and released five
native bird species with a further 16 species introductions
planned. Native birdlife includes: Tieke (North Is Saddleback),
