MEKONOMEN OUTLINES FINANCING FOR
FTZ AND INTER-TEAM BUYS
Auto parts group MEKONOMEN is acquiring
peers FTZ in Denmark and Inter-Team in
Poland for €395m on a cash and debt-free

from a SKr1.65bn (US$188m) rights issue.
Mekonomen has also secured €395m in
BANKûlNANCING
Nordea is sole global coordinator and joint
bookrunner with SEB on the rights issue,
which requires shareholder approval. The
largest shareholder, LKQ with a 26.51%
stake, has undertaken to subscribe for its
pro rata stake, with Nordea and SEB
providing a volume underwrite for the
balance.
The rights issue is expected to complete in
the second half of the year.

GLOBAL SWITCH GETS NEW INVESTOR
AHEAD OF 2019 IPO
Strategic IDC, a consortium of six Asian
institutional and private investors, has
acquired a 24.99% stake valued at £2.1bn in
data centre operator GLOBAL SWITCH.
The plan is to list Global Switch in 2019
on a stock exchange in Europe, Asia or
North America.
Founded in 1998, Global Switch is an
operator of large-scale carrier and cloud-
neutral data centres in Europe and

enterprises, telecommunication carriers,
cloud and managed service providers, and

Unlike other data centre providers that
offer IT and cloud services, Global Switch is
essentially a real estate company, building
and operating real estate with the right
power cooling and physical security
required by IT service providers.
The Strategic IDC consortium includes
existing investors in Global Switch including
AVIC Trust and the Hong Kong investment
arms of Haoyue Capital and Jiangsu Sha
Steel Group, and new investors including
China Citic Bank.
As part of the transaction, Global Switch
chairman Li Qiang will increase his stake to
4.8% from 0.7%. Existing investors
Aldersgate Investments and Elegant Jubilee
will have stakes of 24.01% and 51%,
respectively. Elegant Jubilee, another
consortium of private and institutional
investors from Asia, invested in Global
Switch in December 2016.
TRITAX EUROBOX COMPLETES £300m IPO
Tritax has completed the £300m IPO of its
European logistics property fund TRITAX
EUROBOX, with trading due to begin on July 9.
The company will be focused on the
Continental European logistics market and
proceeds will be invested in acquiring a
portfolio of real estate assets.
