A Royal Evening
It is one of the most breath-taking rooms in the Château
de Versailles, gleaming in gold and of course glass
with the famous mirrors reflecting the 17 windows,
which overlook the palace’s immaculate gardens, and
this month you can enjoy a unique experience in the
stunning Hall of Mirrors. On the 9th, 16th and 23rd of
December the Château will be hosting The King’s Tour,
taking visitors on a magical voyage back in time when
royalty ruled the land. After the Château closes its doors
once regular visiting hours have passed, dancers, singers,
musicians and actors prepare to entertain, the royal
way. Dressed in period costumes, the artists elegantly
bring back to life the Court as it once was. The show is a
wonderful way to end a visit to the Château de Versailles
before being brought back to realty and down to earth
after spending almost an hour in another era.

Grease is the Word
There is no other musical that captured everyone’s
heart more than the fabulous Grease. Written in 1971
by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, the musical was first
performed on Valentine’s Day in 1972 on Broadway
and was nominated for 7 Tony Awards, and four years
later it was adapted to the big screen with Olivia
Newton-John and John Travolta taking on the lead
roles. Today, the musical is still one of the most popular
around the world and it has taken over the Théâtre
Mogador where Sandy and Danny take the audience
back to Rydell High. With all the iconic songs and retro
looks, Grease is one musical not to miss, especially for
fans of the original movie and its soundtrack and while
some of the songs have been adapted to French the
music is still the same so you will still recognise them
all and sing along in English without skipping a beat.
