Win £50 of Rubicon Light & Fruity Guava

AG BARR is celebrating the launch of
Rubicon Light & Fruity Guava by offering five
retailers the chance to win £50 worth of stock
(one case of each of the four flavours) for their
store.
Available in 1 litre resealable cartons (£1 PMP),
the launch marks the introduction of Rubicon’s
popular Guava variant to the Light & Fruity range;
a range that delivers the authentic Rubicon taste
but with half of the sugar.
Guava joins the existing Rubicon Light &
Fruity range which comprises three variants – the
brand’s bestselling Mango flavour, and two exotic
blends; Mango & Coconut and Mango, Lime & Mint.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for products
that can deliver on quality and taste but with fewer calories,” says Adrian
Troy, Marketing Director at AG Barr.
“Rubicon Light & Fruity Guava not only gives shoppers greater choice at
the fixture, but also enables retailers to grow sales with a low-calorie
alternative that really delivers on flavour.”

McVitie’s unveils Digestives Nibbles on-

the-go format

FOLLOWING the launch of McVitie’s
Digestives Nibbles which have achieved
over £15m RSV since launch, the sweet
biscuit brand has announced the launch of
new McVitie’s Digestives Nibbles Handy
Packs. The new format offers consumers
snackable solutions whilst on-the-go. The
launch comes as part of pladis’ ongoing
commitment to capitalise on the on-the-go
trend, as consumers look for their favourite snacks in grab and go formats.
Available in Caramel and Milk Chocolate flavours, the new handy packs
are available in 37g at a RRP of 59p. Rolling out from May across grocery,
convenience and forecourts, the range will be supported by a £3m
campaign alongside PR and digital activation. McVitie’s Marketing
Director, Kerry Owens, commented: “Our busy lifestyles have led to an
increase in snacking when out and about, leading shoppers to gravitate
towards single serve packs, pouches and grab on-the-go items.”
“These delicious new handy packs are the perfect treat when you’re
grazing in the day or looking for a sweet treat on the move. We are
committed to responding to consumer needs and are confident our

Shloer reveals new look and flavour

WITH summer being the key Shloer sales period for impulse retailers,
SHS Drinks is re-launching the sparkling adult soft brand in May in
readiness for the summer sales uplift.
The major re-launch sees the introduction of new contemporary pack
designs across the Shloer portfolio.
It also sees a re-formulation with the flavour of Shloer being enhanced
through higher juice content and all Shloer variants having no added
sugar ingredients in compliance ahead of the Sugar Tax Levy which will be
implemented next Spring.
A new digitally-focused marketing campaign will support the
re-launch. The transition to no added sugar ingredients has been
achieved through the use of real fruit juice
to enhance the quality and flavour of
Shloer whilst ensuring it remains free
from artificial colours, flavours and
sweeteners - a status which plays an
important role in Shloer’s premium
brand proposition.
The new bottle designs of the
core Shloer Red Grape and White
Grape range feature ‘lollipop’ labels,
which reinforce the taste credentials
in a fun and colourful way.
