Colours look good for the most part,
they’renot oversaturated but
occasionally they could look a little
washed out, which was a shame.
OnePlus’ partnership with camera
giant Hasselblad hascontinuedand
evolvedin this handset. e most
significant new feature is theoptional
10-bit coloursupport across thewhole
rear camera system. at means it can
process64 times more colours than
the 8-bitof most smartphones – that’s
1 billion different colours. atmeans
even more vibrant,accurate
photography,although most screens
stilldon’t support10-bit so you won’t
be able to see the difference on a lot of
laptopsand monitors.
Powering the OnePlus 10Pro is
the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is
Qualcomm’s latest and best chipset. To
accompany that, the model we tested
out has12GB of RAM and 256GB of
storage.If you need a bit of extra
muscle you canborrow up to 7GB from
yourstorage to be usedas RAM.

Usingthe phone was a joy. ere
wasn’t any glitching or lagging even
when we used larger apps, wewere
able to effortlessly flick between open
windows and we navigated through
the system without ever having todeal
withirritating loading wheels.
On the Geekbench 5 benchmarking
test, the OnePlus 10Pro picked up
scores of980 insingle-core and 3, 380
in multicore, which is pretty similar to
other recent flagships with thesame
chipset but is admittedly slightlylower
than some others like the Samsung
Galaxy S22 Ultra.
So what about batterylife? e
OnePlus10 Pro packsin ahuge
5,000mAhbattery and it easilylasted
for longerthana day. We downloaded
and played a TVshow over the space of
two hours on full brightness.In that
time,the battery level droppedby 14%
so would havelasted just over 14hoursin total.at’s not best inclass but it’s
good enough.
Youalso get an 80W SUPERVOOC
charger thatclaims to give you a full
chargein only 32 minutes. Wetested it
and it did indeed onlytake half an
hour to fill the phone up.Such speedy
charging is game-changing.

step up from last year’sOnePlus 9 Pro,
boastingan upgraded camera system,
more powerful hardware, akiller
screen and super-fast charging.
Long storyshort,the OnePlus 10
Pro can almostdo it all. Whether

more about power and efficiency, it’s

If you’re umming and ahhing
between this and Oppo’s
flagship, there are a lot of
similarities between them but
the OnePlus 10 Pro is a lot
cheaper. If money’s no object,
the experience you get from
the Oppo is slightly better.

Those looking to spend a bit

at this. It actually has better
performance, despite packing
the same chipset as the
OnePlus 10 Pro. It also has a
unique design, decent camera
and good battery life.
