GOA OFFERS WATER-SPORTS
ENTHUSIASTS AN EXHILIRATING
RANGE OF OPTIONS ALONG ITS
TROPICAL COASTLINE, SUCH
AS SNORKELLING, PARASAILING,
AND KAYAKING INTO THE JUNGLE

Goa is a land of remarkable
contrasts. Known as the “Rome of the
East”, the smallest state of India is
blessed with a pristine coastline and
jaw-dropping landscapes, making it
an adventurous traveller’s paradise –
particularly when it comes to water
sports. Diving off Goa’s coast
is an enthralling experience, where
you can encounter over 30 species
of fish, from barracudas and parrotfish
to reef sharks and stingrays and,
if you’re lucky, bottlenose dolphins.
A particular snorkelling highlight
is to be had off Goa’s magnificent
Monkey Island.
Blending history, culture and
Nature, take a kayaking trip past
rural villages, historical churches
and ancient temples. This popular
excursion will take you on a winding
journey through calm, narrow
waterways set deep among the
mangroves, where you will spot
various birds, fish, and otters, and
exotic local plant varieties, such as
cashew and mango trees, red and
white lotus flowers, and bamboo.
A water adventure in Goa would
be incomplete without a bumper
ride – also known as “tubing” –
the perfect activity for thrill-seekers.

EXPERIENCE
GOA

speedboat into the open sea.
You’ll have to hang on tight for
as long as you can as the speedboat
zips over waves in an attempt to
throw you off. It’s not for the faint-
hearted, but it’s the perfect buzz
for adrenalin junkies who love
open-water action.
You can take your water-sports
experience to the next level by
experiencing the thrill of a jetski and
speedboat ride. Or, if it’s airborne
adventure that you’re after, go
parasailing, enjoy a bird’s eye view
of the coastline, and soak up the
sun with a cool sea breeze blowing
through your hair. Suspended high
up in the air, you will get to enjoy a
majestic view of the sea and stunning
beach landscapes.
Catamaran boats are identified
by their colourful banana-shaped
hulls, operating without the use of
daggerboards. Catamaran sailing is
the boat mode of choice for those
who want to explore the beautiful
Goan waters – paradise for water-
sports enthusiasts!
