STORY JOCELYN LEE
The super private Andy Lau
shared photos of his five-year-
old daughter at his recent
birthday party. And boy, is she
a cutie.
Believe it or not,
Heavenly King Andy
Lau is 56 already. (What?
You sure he's not in his
30s?) Maybe it was the
happy occasion or maybe
the super private star has
decided to take a softer
stance when it comes
to revealing details about his personal life after
suffering a near fatal fall earlier this year. (P/S: He
has since recovered and is reportedly back at work.)
But Andy, in a very uncharacteristic move, shared
heartwarming pics and videos of his wife and kid at a
birthday celebration with 2,000 fans last Tuesday. And
these photos have since made the news after they were
published in Hongkong mag Eastweek. Judging by how
low-res these photos are, we are guessing they are
actually screenshots provided by fans lucky enough to
be at the event and wise enough to secretly snap the
pics. Not that we're complaining, especially when we
too, get to see how cute Andy Lau's daughter is.
Andy Lau’s
daughter
revealed!
A King’s selfie: Andy shared a totes adorbs selfie he
took with his daughter on his hospital bed, making it
the first time he’s showed a pic of Hanna in public.
With her long black hair and big round eyes, she’s a
carbon copy of her mum Carol Chu.
Carol, 50, is a Malaysian former
beauty pageant contestant
whom Andy met in 1986.
The couple got married in
Las Vegas in 2008.
Dad’s the way:
He also showed videos
and pics of Hanna visiting
him during his stay in
the hospital. According to
Eastweek, there were also
clips of her massaging and
washing his feet while he
was recuperating.
Cake boss: In another pic, a
wheelchair-bound Andy is seen
hugging Hanna and posing with the
cake she gave him.
Star Hubby: He reportedly teared
up while thanking his wife. “Many
people told me that my wife is very
strong. When I got into an accident,
she was very calm and acted like it
didn’t affect her. However, she’s been
by my side, patiently waiting for the
day I can walk again,” he reportedly
said. And when his pal Sandra Ng
mentioned on stage that the woman
he fears most in his life now is his
little princess (referring to Hanna),
Andy reportedly laughed and corrected
Sandra: “No, it’s Big Princess [Carol]!
All the men present here, listen up.
It’s always better to be scared of the
Big Princess than the Little Princess!
(Laughs)”
