launched Pure Ocean to
continue their expertise in
Marine Aquarium Care.Pure Ocean is a natural salt
that has been developed and
enriched for fi sh, soft corals,
and hard SPS/LPS corals. Pure
Ocean, with its base of natural
salt, is claimed to be very stable
in terms of its composition and
quality. Further enrichment
with calcium, magnesium,
potassium, carbonates and
trace elements of very high
purity makes it the ‘expert’s
choice’. Pure Ocean of course
promotes the rapid growth and
well-being of living organisms
within the marine aquarium.Pure Ocean is available in 3
sizes:5kg = makes up to 150 litres.
12.5kg = makes up to 360 litres.
25kg = makes up to 750 litres.The product is packaged in
plastic containers for freshness
with each container containing
Probiotix, a probiotic
supplement.Probiotix is only available with
Pure Ocean salt and contains
strains of nitrifying bacteria
whose action is complementary
and synergistic with those
of Prodibio Biodigest (not
included with Pure Ocean).Probiotix is contained in
the Prodibio glass vial and
this ensures a fresh, long
life product which actually
works when added to the
aquarium! This is because the
additive is only exposed to
the atmosphere when the vial
is opened, and the product is
administered in one simple
dose.BioDigest contains a nitrifying
bacteria concentrate from a
live marine source. Over 15
strains of bacteria are active in
BioDigest with over a billion
bacteria in every small vial. The
importance of this product
is that BioDigest eliminates
aquarium waste and naturally
reduces nitrate levels in the
aquarium. Probiotix ensures
a perfect mastery of the
nitrifi cation phase, which is
essential for obtaining optimal
water quality in the marine
aquarium. Probiotix achieves
this by reinforcing the nitrogen
cycle by introducing diff erent
strains of bacteria to those of
the BioDigest. This bacterial
‘pool’ provides a more fl exible
nitrifi cation process which is
able to adapt to more varied
