A

llison Transmission Holdings
Inc. has promoted G.
Frederick Bohley, Vice
President of Finance, to the
additional role of Treasurer, where he
will be responsible for the company's
relationships with commercial
bankers, senior secured credit facility
lenders and revolver participants, debt
investors and credit rating agencies.
"We are very pleased to further expand
Fred's scope of responsibilities,"
David S. Graziosi, President and
Chief Financial Officer of Allison
Transmission, said. "Over the past
20 years, Fred has consistently
demonstrated his ability to grow
successfully within our organization
and to lead effectively teams to deliver
superior results. We look forward to
his continued success and significant

contributions to Allison Transmission."

In March 2016, Bohley was promoted
to Vice President, with the added
responsibility of the Treasury
department. In August 2014,
Business Planning was added to
his responsibilities, and in January
2013, he took on the role of Investor
Relations. In October 2007, Bohley
was promoted to Executive Director
of Financial Planning and Analysis,
Pricing and International Finance.
Bohley started his career at Allison
in 1991 in the Finance organization
where he held positions of increasing
responsibility until 2001.
Allison also announced the
appointment of Raymond Posadas
as Director of Investor Relations,
reporting to Fred Bohley.

T

he Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. has appointed
Karl Weiss as the new Vice President for Material
Handling and Underground Division (MH&U). He
replaces Doug Hoerr who has elected to retire from
Caterpillar after 24 years of service. The Board has assigned
new responsibilities for other current Vice Presidents.
In 2013, Weiss was named as the Vice President of the
Earthmoving Division, the position he still holds. Since joining
Caterpillar in 1992, Weiss has had various assignments within
product development at Caterpillar’s Decatur, Joliet and
Aurora, Illinois, facilities, primarily focused on large machine
structural design.
“For more than 20 years of his career with Caterpillar, Doug
worked in a wide range of accounting and finance roles with
increasing levels of responsibility and global scope,” Jim
Umpleby, Caterpillar CEO, said.
Caterpillar has also announced changes in the responsibilities
of its current Vice Presidents Tom Bluth and Jean Savage.
These changes will be effective August 1, 2017.
Bluth, who was first named a Vice President in 2007 and is
currently Vice President of the Surface Mining & Technology
Division (SM&T), will become Caterpillar’s Chief Technology
Officer (CTO) and the Vice President of the Innovation &
Technology Development Division (ITDD). Since joining
Caterpillar in 1995, Bluth has held numerous positions,
including corporate attorney in the Legal Services Division.
Savage, who was first named a Caterpillar Vice President in
2014 and is currently Caterpillar’s CTO and the Vice President
of ITDD, will become the Vice President of SM&T.

A

merican Axle & Manufacturing
(AAM) has named Michael J. Bly
as Vice President Sales, Driveline.
In this role, he will oversee all
global commercial activities for AAM's
Driveline Business Unit. Headquartered in
Detroit, AAM leads in design, engineering,
validation and manufacturing of driveline,
metal forming, powertrain, and casting
technologies for automotive, commercial and
industrial markets.

"We are pleased to appoint Micky as
AAM's global sales lead for the Driveline
Business Unit. We are confident that he will
continue to ensure AAM is the supplier of
choice for our customers as they look for
the smartest, lightest, most powerful and
most efficient driveline systems," David C.
Dauch, AAM Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, said.
Bly joined AAM in 2014 as President, AAM
Europe. Prior to that he was Vice President
of GM's European Powertrain Engineering
located in Russelsheim, Germany. He had
held various positions and management
roles with GM in powertrain, electrical and
electrification engineering while leading
a multitude of powertrain and vehicle
programmes in the US, England and
Germany.
