ussia’s Rosoboronexport
(ROE) has chosen Ashok
Leyland Defence Systems
(ALDS) and ELCOM as its
partners in India to address the Tracked
Vehicle Upgrade Programmes of the
Indian Armed Forces. ROE is the only
state organisation in Russia for export
of the entire range of military products
and technologies. It represents Russian
companies that manufacture Infantry
Fighting Vehicles and Main Battle
Tanks, currently working with the Indian
Army.
ALDS signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) on cooperation
with ROE on the sidelines of the
International Military Technical Forum
Army – 2017, held recently at Kubinka,
near Moscow. The Indian delegation
to this forum was led by Ashok Gupta,
Secretary (Defence Production),
Government of India.

Ashok Leyland (AL) is one of the
leading manufacturers of vehicles and
has been a supplier of Logistics and

Special Role Vehicles to the Indian
Army since 25 years. Amandeep
Singh, Head, Defence, Ashok
Leyland, who signed the MOU on
behalf of ALDS, said, “We are happy
that Rosoboronexport has chosen
ALDS and ELCOM as its partners in
India to address the Tracked Vehicle
Upgrade Programmes of Indian Armed
Forces. The issue of indigenisation and
availability of service and parts, which
has been an area of concern, will now
be addressed as ALDS and ELCOM
will be responsible for manufacturing in

India and also for
providing life cycle
support.”

approved by a leading global luxury
car manufacturer. This has been

investments in R&D and its nine
manufacturing facilities.

With this new range of PERFINZA tyres,
MRF now offers additional products
for the Luxury & Premium vehicle
segment. These tyres are released
initially for India and then will be
available in the world market.

PERFINZA by MRF has been
developed by MRF R&D and
tested extensively and perfected for
luxury and premium sedan cars.
Comprehensive testing, under both
wet and dry conditions, was conducted

in India , Germany and the IDIADA
proving ground near Barcelona in
Spain, Europe’s most comprehensive
independent testing centre.

The PERFINZA Range of hi-speed
rated tyres, available for over 60
luxury and premium cars in India, is
backed by a specially-trained network
of MRF TIRETOK & T&S Showrooms
across India. These tyres feature
an asymmetric tread pattern with a
silica-based `green tyre technology’-
compound and offer the customers
a well-balanced package of ride,
handling, traction and all-weather
control.
