Bahama Mia

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau

captures the spirit of the Bahamas

and takes your idea of luxury

several notches higher.

L

ife in the Bahamas is a breeze. In
Nassau, the capital city, pastel-coloured
British colonial buildings are set against
a hilly landscape and fringed with sun-
kissed beaches. Standing tall on the
shores of the popular Cable Beach is the
unmissable Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.
On entering the property, you’re
greeted by an airy and spacious lobby that
has high-vaulted ceilings, white walls and a
stunning view of the beach, and the
property’s exclusive BEACH Sanctuary.
Accommodation is offered in 1,800 ocean,
fountain and island-view rooms, including
230 luxurious suites that comprise one, two
and three-bedroom residences. The decor
pays homage to the Caribbean aesthetic
and the colour scheme depends on the
tower in which the room is. For instance,
rooms in the East Tower have bright
nautical blue walls with white and gold
accents, while those in the West Tower
feature peaches, blues, and greens.
There are 20 restaurants, 11 lounges,
7 pools, a casino spanning 100,000 square
feet, an 18-hole, 72-par Royal Blue Golf
Course, and 200,000 square feet of flexible
indoor and outdoor space at your disposal.
And, if all of this manages to excite you to
the extent of exhaustion, all you need to do
is step in to the 30,000-square-foot ESPA
Spa here. –R.S.

The casino at Grand

Hyatt Baha Mar is the

Caribbean’s largest

and features 1,140 slot

machines, 119 game tables,

and unmatched

ocean views.
