persuade her not to throw

to protect Ailin.
Qiang wants Beibei
to memorise Xiaocao’s
background. Beibei reads
about Zhengnan and realises
why she looks exactly like
her sister, Amy. She hopes
to find out the truth about
her sister’s death and seek
revenge by posing as the
adult Xiaocao.
Xiaozu asks Hansheng,
Tiancheng and Feihu to help
him deal with Minmin.
Minmin wants Shuibo to
transfer funds and let her

project. She even wants to

Li Zhen’ai an apartment.
Pleased with the renovation
and environment, she
signs the rental contract
immediately. She can’t wait
to move out of her family
home and live independently.
Zhen’ai’s mother, Lin
Shanyu, calls her to remind
her about her elder brother’s
birthday celebration that
night. Her mood changes,
as her mother has always
favoured her firstborn son.
Shanyu and her husband,
Li Dongchu, are owners of a
small eatery. The landlord,
Mr Jin, wants to increase
their rent because Zhen’ai
refuses to be courted by him.
Shanyu hints that he still has
a chance with Zhen’ai, and
revives his hopes.
The eldest son, Li
Hengkui, is in a good mood
after winning a legal case.
He returns home to find an
upset Shanyu. Dongchu had
listened to his friend and
taken out his savings for
investment. Shanyu wants
him to get the money back
from his friend.
The youngest child, Li
Hengshun, does not have
a proper job. He chalks
up credit card bills, which
infuriates Shanyu.
Zhen’ai is an employee atHS Fashion. She regards the
chairman, Huang Yingshan,
as her idol.
Yingshan is a successful
entrepreneur. Her son, Jiang
Xuncai, owns a startup
architectural firm. She learns
he is vying for a business
contract with Taicheng Group
and secretly helps him
secure the project.
Hengkui is fired by his
boss-cum-high school friend,
Song Junying. He wants to
set up his own law firm, but
is deterred by high office
rental.
Shanyu is incensed
that Dongchu’s money is
unrecoverable. Adding to
their current debt is the
rental hike. Zhen’ai’s heart
sinks when she hears her
father has been cheated yet
again.
The family gathers to
celebrate Hengkui’s birthday.
When Zhen’ai asks Hengkui
if he’s going to help repay
the family’s debt, Shanyu
berates her for mentioning
the debt at her brother’sbirthday celebration. Zhen’ai
feels hurt that her mother
only cares about her brother.
She was forced to work to
pay her bills while Hengkui’s
education was provided for.
Dongchu is upset at
being the cause of the
dispute. Blaming himself
for being incompetent, he
storms out of the house.
Hengkui vents his
frustrations after bottling
them up the whole day. He
declares that no matter how
hard he strives, he can’t
beat people with wealthy
backgrounds.
Zhen’ai learns Mr Jin is
increasing their rent because
she has turned him down.
She goes to see him at
the cafe. She encounters
Xuncai and they have a
misunderstanding.
Zhen’ai realises her
mother is spying on her. To
spite her, she suggests she
date Mr Jin. Shanyu drags
Zhen’ai away in a rage.
Hengshun goes on a blind
