Senior Grandmaster Anthony Kleeman (Sr. GMAK), 11th
grade black belt in Cacoy Doce Pares (CDP), forged a series
of Pangamot knife disarms incorporating his own Windowpane
concepts.

Sr. GMAK explains that in CDP, the definition of Pangamot
lies in an empty hand form of Eskrima. It’s typically applied in
a defensive manner, utilizing parries, catches, controls and locks
to disarm and/or control an opponent.

Sr. GMAK uses Eskridos (the joint lock system created by
CDP founder and Supreme Grandmaster Cacoy Cañete) and
combines his own Windowpane concepts to make for decisive,
practical knife disarms that are devastating to the attacker.

The concept of Windowpanes stems from the block that you
execute in response to a backhand or forehand attack. After
learning these techniques from just two angles, you’ll find
principles that are easily applied to any angle attack.What’s
unique is that the disarm is initiated from a particular pane.
Your hand will “snake through” a specific pane(s) to execute
that numbered disarm. It’s extremely user friendly because it
invites you to see defensive openings from any angle attack
and throughout the attack. In other words, these disarms create
