30 The Official Fulham FC Matchday Programme
watch the Premier League, that’s
still my favourite football. That’s
why it was such a dream for me
to come and play in England.
I also watched the cups, and
it’s true that the FA Cup is
something special in the UK. I
played in the competition this
time last year so I know what
it’s about.”
The games are certainly coming
thick and fast right now. It may
be tradition in England to play
over the festive period, but it’s
still taking Kebano a bit of getting
used to.
“It was a little strange for me
last season as I used to spend
Christmas with my family,” he
said. “I understand that this is
the way it works in England, I
knew before I came and I’m good
with that! Besides, you don’t have
any choice!”
After an up and down first half
of the season, Fulham have found
their feet over the festive period
to the extent that the in-form
Whites are suddenly only four
points off the top six. Hopes of a
similar Play-Off push to last year
are now not so unrealistic.
“We’re in a good run of form,”
agrees Neeskens. “I hope we can
keep it going. We’ll need to do so
if we want to reach our target.
“Even when we were struggling
during the early part of the season,
I was confident that with our
quality and the way we played
last year, I knew we’d reach our
target. I hope that more good days
are coming and we can keep these
performances going.”
“Aboubakar Kamara
can be a big success
at Fulham. He’s
going to contribute to
our season, for sure.
He’s powerful and fast
as well. So fast !”
