March/April 2018 —
AN ARCHIPELAGO OF OVER 1,500 SMALL
islands in Indonesia’s most easterly province,
Raja Ampat has earned a reputation as the world
epicentre of marine biodiversity.
Here you’ll find Papua Diving’s resort, Sorido
Bay, nestled in the lush jungle overlooking a
kidney-shaped lagoon. A wide variety of fish
species – including the larger predators – are
commonly seen in waters round here, not to
mention other fauna and flora such as seahorses,
giant clams and much more.
The resort’s own grounds are scarcely less
diverse. Wild orchids, monitor lizards, cuscus
(a species of furry marsupial) and tropical birds
such as Lorikeets and Eclectus Parrots are often
present. Guests may even spot a tree kangaroo or
sugar glider.
Such proliferation of life is today drawing
visitors from every quarter of the globe to a
region that until a few years ago was almost
completely unheard of.
Now, Sorido Bay Resort is offering a special
discount of 15% on accommodation during the
period of June-September 2018.
Visit http://www.papua-diving.com to find more
details and note that you must mention Action
Asia in the booking inquiry to receive the
discount.

sharks, whale sharks and pygmy seahorses – as

Sea and Komodo National Park on itineraries
varying between seven and 12 nights.
Built from tropical hardwood, the 31-metre
