BEN BAGS FAMILY BRAGGING RIGHTS
Ben Tulett went one better than his brother Dan in 2017 to claim the
rainbow jersey at the men’s junior Cyclo-Cross World Championships in
Valkenburg, the Netherlands. Riding patiently, he caught and passed
World Cup winner and runner-up Loris Rouiller and Tomas Kopecky on
the second lap. Tulett later counter-attacked just as Kopecky had
re-caught the 16-year-old with half a lap to go to claim victory by 22
seconds. The British team only had to wait two hours for further glory,
as Evie Richards reclaimed her under-23 women’s title.
