HOLISTIC TREATMENTS
Ayurveda is a centuries-old science steeped in
tradition with a variety of holistic treatments on
offer. Some hotels have taken the science a
step higher and devised specialised Ayurvedic
wings that come with doctors, consultants,
medicined and long-term programmes. Dr.
Sunil Kumar, Spa Manager, Sereno Spa, Park
Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa, believes that offering
Ayurvedic treatments at Sereno Spa was a great
idea because it appeals to several guests who are
looking to unwind, alleviate soreness and get rid
of fatigue and stress. He explains, “Whenever
guests come in for any kind of Ayurveda
treatment, they first consult our in-house
Ayurveda doctor who analyses their problems
and concerns and suggests treatments based on
their needs. Meals are also curated depending on
the dosha type. Ayurvedic treatments are highly
sought after by expat guests as well.”
Sushma Rai, Spa Manager, The Roseate,
New Delhi, says that the Ayurvedic treatments at
Aheli Spa are often offered in conjunction with a
wellness offering from the hotel’s world cuisine
restaurant Kiyan. Sushma works in tandem with
Chef Nishant Choubey, Corporate Chef, Roseate
