Aproximitysensorswitches off aphone’sscreen when

youhold it to your headto makeacall. If your devicehas

one,KinScreen lets youuse it to activateyour device, by

takingit out of apocket, forexample;^1 or by waving at it^2

if it’s switchedoff and your handsaredirty or busy.

Youcan keep the screen on ‘Bymotion’,^1 simplyby

holdingit. To override whenthe phoneis flatonan

unstablesurface, such as atrain table,tick ‘Except if

tilted up lessthan 10.0°’.^2 Thelock icon^3 indicatesthatyou

can only changethe angleif youpay foranupgrade.

Youcan also keep the screen on whenit’s upright–for

example,proppedup on astand in the kitchen;^1 while

you’remakingacall;^2 or whilethe deviceisplugged

in.^3 Thelatteroptioncomes with asub-option,whichcan

be used to keep the screen at its current brightness.^4

Tick the boxnextto‘Whileusingapps’^1 to bringup

alistofall the appson your device.^2 Tick the boxnext

to anyapps thatyou’dliketokeep the screen on, even

whenthe deviceisleft unattended.TapOK.^3

In the ‘Turn screen off’section,youcan set the lengthof

time beforethe screen switches off by tapping‘20 sec’

and changingit to anew value.^1 TapSet.^2 Youcan

also set the screen to switch off whenthe proximitysensor

is coveredand after 30 minutes of beingleft on.

The‘Moreoptions’sectionlets youapply anyofthese

rules to the lockscreen,^1 as well as whenyou’re

actuallyusingthe device. Youcan also set the deviceto

vibratebrieflywhenthe screen switches on^2 or off,^3 and

set whetherthis changesif you’reinsilent mode.^4
