Being related to the royal

families of Bhopal, Pa-

taudi and the Paigahs of

Hyderabad, I have inherit-

ed some beautiful pieces

of jewellery. My favourite

was a bunch of Burmese

rubies given by my moth-

er in law that belonged

to her grandmother. It’s

almost 100 carats of Bur-

mese rubies that hang like

grapes with diamonds. My

in-laws’ association with

Kishandas was forged on

trust; in fact all the royal

jewellery was not just as-

sessed but repaired here

as well.
