When whimsy and passion define the narrative of jewellery, magnificence is a given. Chopard’s feather
necklace, one of the star models in their 2018 Red Carpet collection pays homage to artistic crafts, with a
fascinating necklace made from real feathers. Inspired by the costumes and traditional skills of the Mongo-
lian Plateau, the airy piece is a first for the Maison, and boasts a sculpted gold cameo adorned with volutes of
blue apatites, violet garnets and red jasper with a necklace graced with rooster, grey heron, ostrich and black
pheasant feathers. The resulting piece of haute joaillerie shimmers with sheer creativity and artistic brilliance
that the brand has become synonymous with. Reinventing jewellery through the most unexpected raw
materials, Caroline Scheufele, President, Chopard, imagined this creation with daintily colourful plumage.
The technical challenge was collaborated with feather artist Nelly Saunier. A bird is the most elegant mascot
for freedom; Chopard’s unfettered creativity bears avid testimony to that.
