after an initial rise (Fig. 7).^18
From the results, Velayudhan and Martin concluded that all
meshes strain hardened and underwent permanent plastic deforma-
tion, which can lead to complications for long-term implantations.^18
The authors pointed out that lower secant moduli of meshes at 37°C
in PBS than that at 23°C in air was due to higher polymer chain
mobility at elevated temperatures.^18 This claim can be further consoli-
dated by providing glass transition temperature values of the polymers
used, and debating whether a temperature of 37°C would affect the
chain mobility. Though the test conditions in this article better mimic
