Origin Grill
Housed in the classy Shangri-La Hotel,
Singapore, this newly opened restaurant
is decked out in neutral hues with vintage-
inspired wood furnishings and industrial
elements. Suitable for all events, from
work meetings to family dinners and
date nights, Origin Grill’s décor is clean,
simple and elegant. On the menu are
charcoal-grilled mains from the land and
sea – including line-caught sustainable
seafood from marine-certified coasts in
New Zealand and the Philippines, as well
as a bespoke beef selection from Australia,
Ireland and Japan.
Don’t miss the Sunday Vintage Brunch
($108 per person or $168 per person with
free-flow wines and cocktails), which takes
place from 12pm to 3pm every Sunday.
The feast begins with chef de cuisine
Heidi Flanagan’s signature appetisers,
including Yummy Toast (roasted pumpkin

on sourdough with goat’s cheese, wildflower
honey and pistachios), Doughnut Time
(glazed pulled pork doughnuts with maple
sriracha), and charred asparagus with
hollandaise. Then, you get to pick a main
course from the selection of meats, seafood
and brunch items, such as the Rangers Valley
Striploin with blue cheese butter, and grilled
seabass fillet with sautéed greens, lemon and
sea-urchin butter. Top it all off with a lavish
spread of sinful pastries, cakes and cheeses,
followed by a round or two at the live crepe
station. Psst... Make it an extra fancy affair
by opting for vintage wine pouring ($208
per person) on top of unlimited wines and
cocktails!
