ICE-CREAM SUNDAE: US$1,490
For a cool US$1,490 you can purchase the Bear
Extraordinaire – the fanciest and most expensive
ice-cream sundae in the US. Served at New York’s
Baccarat Hotel – and made from rare ingredients
including vanilla imported from Madagascar, a black
truffle crumble, Valrhona Gold cocoa nibs, and gold
and silver leafing – this hedonic dessert includes a fine
crystal figurine that diners can take home with them.

FRIDA’S TACO: US$26,500
Available exclusively at Frida’s restaurant in the five-star
Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort in Mexico, this taco is
a long way from anything you’d ever find at Taco Bell.
Nestled in the gold flake-infused corn tortilla is
Kobe beef, lobster, Almas beluga caviar (the most
expensive caviar in the world) and black truffle brie –
and it’s all topped with more gold flakes, of course.

24K GOLD
CHICKEN
WINGS: US$89
(20 PIECES)
In collaboration with
renowned ‘Foodgõd’
Jonathan Cheban, New
York City restaurant chain
The Ainsworth has debuted
its glittering 24-karat
gold-dusted chicken wings.
These blinged-out birds are
brined for 12 hours and
coated with house-made
dry rub before being baked,
flash-fried and coated in a
layer of gold dust.
