A legallycompetentadultalreadypossessesthe capacityto chooseher owndoctor,
plumber,or barberunderlaissez-fairecompetition.Sucha patientor clientis capableof
assessingfor herselfwhethershe is satisfiedwiththe serviceshe has beenprovided.That
peoplecan formulatecontractsin goodfaithis a vitalconditionfor contractualcompeten-
cy. Andthisgoodfaithcannotexistif libelandslanderlawsgo unenforced.In other
