From Cape to Cairo
In 2018, 20 inexperienced teens
from different backgrounds built
a Sling 4 aircraft in just twosought-after African event.
Kenya was the most common
African country to feature
on bucket lists, with the
Serengeti National Park as the
most popular African tourist
attraction, followed closely
by our very own Kruger Park.
The term ‘bucket list’ emerged
in 2007 when a movie of theweeks under the guidance of
The Airplane Factory, U-Dream
mentors and team leaders from
Denel Aviation. After undergoing
inspections and certifications,
the light aircraft flew from Cape
Town to Cairo in June this year.
It visited nine countries, inspiring
thousands. U-Dream Global
founder, Megan Werner, hopes
this will inspire others to follow
their dreams, by showing them
how the seemingly impossible
can be achieved with the right
team and focused actions.
