Gemair is an SACAA Approved Mainte-

nance Organisation, AMO 1003 with 5 oth-

er African AMO Approvals and has a team

of 9 full time engineers who together have

a combined total of over 50 years aviation

experience. Gemair are able to perform all

aviation maintenance requirements on a

variety of Non-Type certifi ed aircraft, light

singles and twins up to turbo propellers

and light jets. Gemair also holds electrical

and instrumentation approvals

SKYHAWK AVIATION
Skyhawk Aviation, established in 2008 at
Lanseria International Airport, re-defined the
training landscape and became to be what is
now the largest flight training organisation at
Lanseria.
This was achieved through applying the
CAA requirements as minimum standards, and
not as the target in terms of correct training and
administrative procedures. The influence of its
founder, Captain Mike Gough of South African
Airways, has ensured that current international
best practice is firmly adhered to.

THE PROPELLER SHOP

The Propeller Shop is one of South

Africa’s leading aircraft propeller maintenance

organisations and was SA Flyer’s choice for

overhauling the magazine’s C182, ZS-FPI’s

McCauley propeller.

Operating since 1988, The Propeller Shop,

formerly Joc-air, is a certified maintenance

organisation that specialises in the repair

and maintenance of propellers – including

repainting, inspection, balancing, mid-life

inspections and overhaul. They are approved

for Hartzell, McCauley and Sensenich.

With a well-equipped team of ten

engineers, the company’s goal is a safe, swift

and cost-effective prop service for customers.

They operate from a modern work-shop based

on Lanseria’s south side near Gate 13.

The Propeller Shop will collect and deliver

propellers for maintenance anywhere in

Gauteng.
