UE to a sales agreement
between Proflight Zambia
and Shoprite, travellers are
able to buy Proflight tickets
at 23 Shoprite stores across
Zambia.
The deal extends Proflight’s customer
reach, and adds convenience to air travel,
particularly in places such as Solwezi,
Chipata, Kabwe and Kasama where there
are no Proflight offices and no IATA travel
agents.
Improving accessibility is vital to
growing air travel in Africa. “Combined
with Proflight’s super-low fares, flying
has now become accessible to people
from all walks of life across the country,”said Proflight Director of Government and
Industry Affairs, Captain Philip Lemba.
“Paying for a plane ticket is now as simple
as popping to Shoprite to do your weekly
shopping.”
Proflight Zambia was established
in 1991. From its base in Lusaka its
domestic routes include Livingstone,
Mfuwe, Lower Zambezi, Ndola, Solwezi
and Kasama, and regional routes to
Lilongwe in Malawi, and from Ndola to
Lubumbashi. Kafue National Park will be
added to its routes in 2015.
The airline operates three 29-seater
Jetstream 41s, four 18-seater Jetstream
32s, and two 12-seater Cessna Caravan
