TBM
Daher unveiled the TBM930 on April 5, a new
single-engined turboprop business aircraft to
supplement its very successful TBM900.
To date, the company has sold 145
TBM900s and delivered 110 – with total
production of all TBM models now in excess
of 770 units. While similar in performance and
external appearance to the TBM900, the new
model gives the pilot the much enhanced utility
of the Garmin 3000 touchscreen glass cockpit
and brings advanced features including angle
of attack sensors to give audible stall warning,
landing gear alerts and engine overspeed
prompts. These systems help to keep the
aircraft in a stable ight condition when ight
parameters are exceeded. There is also an
emergency descent mode in the autopilot that
automatically puts the aircraft into descent to
a safe altitude of 15,000ft in the event of cabin
depressurisation. Rod Simpson
