WHERE TO GLIDE

It’s been a great summer for gliding with lots of long, fast flights – many of over 750km – culminating in the European Championships
which were held in Hampshire. However, autumn and winter are also good times to learn to fly. The clubs are quieter, the air tends to be
stiller and you should be able to make rapid progress towards flying solo. Tuition is free at most BGA member clubs; all you pay for is the
launch and glider hire. To find your local club, check out our list below or visit http://www.gliding.co.uk
Based at Snitterfield Airfield, 2 miles outside
Stratford on Avon in the lovely Warwickshire
countryside, we offer the opportunity to glide for
novices and experienced glider pilots alike.
Visit us and enjoy a friendly welcoming atmosphere,
comprehensive fleet, and experienced instructors.
