B‐71G^ Flying^ Fortress^theJune^8 ‐11,^ On^ Collings^ Foundation^ made^ their
visitfor^ to^ Concord,^ CA^ their^ annual^ “Wings^ of^
Freedom”^ Tour. During^ the^ tour,^ they^ flew^ in^ their^ very^ own^ B‐17G^ Flying
Fortress,B^ B‐24J^ Liberator,^ ‐25J^ Mitchell,^ and^ P‐
toMustang.^ People^ were^ able^51 see^ the^ aircraft^ up^ closeoneven^ the^ ground^ and^ go^ inside^ the^ different^
cockpit,and^ view^ the^ bombers^ hallway,^ and^ bomb^ bay.
Flights^ were^ offered^ to people^ at^ various^ charges^
on^ the^ aircraft.^ Thisbasedwas^ a^ rare^ opportunity^ for
passengers^ to^ fly^ on board^ these^ vintage^ WWII^
ofand^ get^ a^ glimpse^ bombers^ what^ it^ was^ like^ tfor
thein^ crew^ members^ back^ the^ 1940s.^ During^ the^
topeople^ were^ allowed^ flights,^ walk^ around^ the^ different
sectionsaircraft^ of^ the^ and^ take^ pictures.^
